The holidays are all about families and friends joining together to celebrate and relive traditions that we each have in our families. At the center of the holidays are the tables we gather around to eat, drink, tell stories, and catch up with one another. Check out these photos of one of my many tablescape ideas for your holiday tables. With mixes of both new items and vintage pieces, it's easy to make your holiday table beautiful and unique.
Adding different layers and levels to the table setting ads dimension and really makes your plate stand out. In this table setting, we used a gold metallic charger to pop the color of the tablecloth. In addition, it complemented the soft colors of the vintage plates and made them look new again. We also picked up the pink in the plates by adding a beautiful silk flower to the napkin holder. This makes the table setting feel festive and glamorous.
Keep your color palette and theme consistent.
We tied over the color palette and theme in the centerpiece. Using a vintage silver gallery tray, we placed a vintage English teapot with a complementary pattern and colors, and layered a crystal candle holder on top of a delicate doily. We continued to use the sparkly silk flowers to keep with our festive tablescape.
On a vintage platter, we placed our vintage silverware set in an antique silver creamer.
The Finishing Touches
Finish your table settings with crystal glassware and wine glasses. To add interesting elements, mix and match different patterns and styles for each setting. There are no rules! Customize your tablescape to your taste. Add some tall candlesticks to add height and depth to the overall ambiance of your table.
