Author & Screenwriter

A native of Annapolis, Maryland, Sarah began writing stories in the third grade, and never stopped. In 2016, she began writing what would be her first completed novel: a work of women’s fiction entitled The Owner & The Wife, set for publication in May of 2023. A passionate romantic drama teeming with passion, ambition, and mouthwatering Italian cuisine, this story, set in the mid-1980’s, encompasses two of the things Sarah is most passionate about: her Italian heritage, and the hospitality industry. She went on to adapt this story into a feature film screenplay, earning her a quarterfinalist placement in the 2020 Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards, ranking in the top 25% of 2,000 submissions in her category, and a rating of 7 on the Hollywood industry website, The Black List. Sarah has gone on to write two other novels, one of which placed in Screencraft’s 2019 Cinematic Book Competition. She continues to work on other writing endeavors, including a scripted television pilot and a sequel to her first novel. In all of her works, she likes to explore complex family dynamics and the relationships that change and shape our lives.

Sarah graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maryland Global Campus with a B.A. in Communications Studies. She was previously featured as a contributor for Italia Living, an online magazine covering luxury Italian topics. In 2016, she created her blog, The Sweet Paisana, where she posted family recipes, restaurant and book reviews, and other lifestyle content.

When she is not writing, she enjoys trying out new restaurants, taking road trips, keeping up with TikTok trends, and re-watching her favorite movie of all time, Moonstruck. You can connect with her on TikTok and Instagram, where she shares her version of La Dolce Vita with her quarter million followers.
